French, cir 1850. These large mother-of-pearl shells are extremely scarce now the seas having been over fished. Gilt tools, 2 scent bottles and gilt sewing tools all in excellent condition, a white alabaster foot. To open, press down the top finial and close snap shut. Size approx 5ins or 10cms.
