The second rare, legendary Piercy‚s Patent thimble. English cir 1816/1820 English patent no 4077. Made from tortoise shell, with silver top and gold/pinchbeck embellishments being the rim and the words ‚Piercy‚s Patent‚ in a gilt scroll applique on the front. Nothing on the reverse.
